Today Willow our 10 1/2 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel had another Heart attack it is the second one she has had. She has been on Vetmedin and Lasix twice daily for the last 2 months when she had her first Attack.I had just let them all out into their new one acre mowed area, I wasn't aware that Willow was running with the others.Then I saw her on her side making terrible noises.By the time I got to her she was still and not breathing and her heart had stopped.In my panic I picked her up and cuddled her and started patting her Heart area.her heart started and she slowly started to breath, then the tail wagged as if to say thanks Mum ..
The same thing happened the first attack.If I wasn't there at the time this happened she would have died,as the stimulation of me picking her up and patting her made her come alive again..
All is well again ..till next time....

Willow had another Heart Attack today.The same thing happened.One day it will happen and I won't be there.That's when we will loose her...Poor Willow
